ECHOES OF IKKAT

Introducing Echos of Ikkat, a collection that’s very close to our hearts. This collection is inspired by the centuries-old art of ikkat, which has deep roots in the rich weaving traditions of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. Ikkat is a technique that has always fascinated us it’s the way the yarn is dyed before being woven into intricate patterns and motifs like florals, birds and animals 

Ikkat traditionally uses resist dyeing, where the yarns are tied and dyed in sections before being woven, creating these striking, geometric motifs. We took this inspiration and transformed it into something more fluid, more versatile, yet still respectful of its origins.
